DHARMA KIRAN GOVT. HOMOEOPATHIC HOSPITAL

Hospital was started by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh with (40) Beds in the year 1970 as per  G.O.Ms. No.2105, IM & H Department, dated 11-11-1970 in 1977 as per G.O.Ms No. 1088 Dt. 14-11-1977 Govt of Andhra Pradesh enhanced the bed strength from 40 to 80 beds.

The hospital started in a rented building at Malakpet in 2001, then shifted to  Dilsukhnagar and finally to kothapet, at  last Dr. B. Sohan Singh, Secretary, Dharma Kiran Trust; constructed a building for the hospital through the Trust. The Govt.of AP named this building after his son, Late. Sri Dharam Kiran in the site allotted by the Govt vide G.O.Ms No. 254/R1, Dt 31-03-1989 in the premises of J.S.P.S. Govt. Homeo Medical College, Ramanthapur, Hyderabad.

Hospital is spread over 18,200 sq feet in two floors with separate wards for Male, Female, Gynec, Labour Room, Paediatric and Special Rooms, and separate accommodation for PG Scholars and Sisters.

Hospital OPD – timings are from  9.00 am to 12.30 noon.  Apart from this there is a casualty OPD run by the hospital stafffrom 8 am to 8PM.The Medical officers attached to hospital are posted to evening & night duties on rotatory basis and College Clinical Faculty will be attending the OPD”s.&  In Patient Services.

There are 80 Beds for IPD. where in patients with chronic Illness like Osteo Arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, various skin diseases, Hemiplegia, Allergic Respiratory Diseases, COPD etc are admitted and getting benefit from the treatment.

The hospital is serving the mankind through several health programmes by way of conducting regular medical and health checkups,health camps, distribution of preventive medicine for infectious diseases  like Brain Fever (JE), Chikungunya, Gastroenteritis, Dengue etc., from time to time in collaboration with several Non-Governmental Organizations and Departmental of Health, Medical & Family Welfare. there is also Yoga &Wellness Centre where inpatients are taught importance of Yoga.
