About the Department
Homoeopathy is a system of medicine which is safe without any side-effects, & children friendly with palatable taste and easy to administer.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The department has a staffroom for H.O.D and the faculty, and a lecture hall which are very spacious and well ventilated. The lecture hall is provided with advanced LED projector, and a well-furnished departmental library for ready reference with latest books.
ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN IN THE DEPARTMENT:
The classes are conducted as per monthly schedule, which are moderated by faculty. The P.G. Scholars of the department are posted to Niloufer Paediatric Hospital on rotatory basis, thereby giving them an opportunity to see and learn about variety of diseases.
More over P.G. Scholars are posted to attend monthly medical camps which brings them close to the needs of the society.
Currently, there are 3 batches of i.e., 20th, 21st and 22nd with intake of 3 students in each batch. Very recently 19th batch of P.G.Scholars have completed their exams which were held in the month of November & December 2019.
There is an OPD’s which run six days a week, in the morning from 9.30a.m-12Noon and on an average 40-50 patients seen are per day. In the OPD most common diseases treated arecommunicable diseases, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, Gastro-intestinal diseases, infectious diseases, and skin diseases, emotional and behavioural diseases etc.
If case requires further evaluation they are admitted as In Patients at our D.K. Govt Homoeo Hospital. While treating patients, special emphasis is focused on Individualistic, Holistic approach. Parents are advised at the same time about Personal Hygiene, environmental hygiene, nutrition etc. and any other advice as per requirement.
The P.G. Scholars at our Institute are also encouraged to participate in state, national and international seminars. Apart from this, the P.G. Scholars are allotted weekly seminars which persuades them with good communication skills.
