Practice of Medicine as a subject and the backbone for any system of medicine and there is no exception for Homoeopathy. The subject of Practice of Medicine deals with the illness in detail about their etiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations and necessary investigations to diagnose the diseases.

At J.S.P.S Govt Homoeopathic Medical College, Practice of Medicine department was established 52 years back as a subject in the curriculum in diploma, graded degree, graduate and post graduate courses. Since then, the department of Practice of Medicine not only imparting a quality education to the students but at the same time working hard to alleviate the sufferings of patients attending at attached hospital D.K Govt. Homoeo Hospital. The department is continuously working hard not only in diagnosing the disease but incorporating the Homoeopathic principles in the management of various clinical entities within the framework of Homoeopathy. The department is having the credit of managing effectively the so-called incurable diseases like Cerebro-Vascular Accident, Degenerative Disorders, AutoimmuneDisorders and various other life style disorders.

Post Graduation in Homoeopathy in the subject of Practice of Medicine (M.D) was introduced in the academic year 2015-16 under the aegis of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, from the academic year 2016 & 2017 onwards the courses are under KNR University of Health Sciences with admission capacity of 3 students per year. Since then the P.Gs in the department are working on several clinical entities as a part of their dissertation work. The department of Practice of Medicine actively involved in a collaborative project by CCRH on collection of data in the management of HIV – AIDS through Homoeopathy.
